xappido takes off with Zurich Airport

xappido ag has been awarded an important digitalisation project for Flughafen Zürich AG. By the summer we will deliver a new “customer portal for pass and key management”. The client is Flughafen Zürich AG (FZAG), operator of the largest airport in the country.

“We deliberately chose xappido ag, because it was not only the offer that made a lasting impression on us, but the company behind it,” says Jürg Wolfsteiner from FZAG’s procurement department.

Fast digital processes instead of paper

Until now, customers could order and manage products such as passes, keys or parking only on paper forms; xappido ag is now putting a digital tool in place. In doing so it meets customers’ wish for simple, fast ordering around the clock, and at the same time reduces the administrative effort at Flughafen Zürich AG. Once the new online portal goes live, all forms and orders relating to passes, keys and parking products can be handled, requested and managed digitally. The contract awarded to xappido ag covers the entire process chain of the portal, including design and integration into the airport operator’s existing system landscape.

In focus: usability and transparent workflows

The new customer portal is to be functionally simple and technically sustainable, and is to avoid any breaks between systems. Something else that matters a great deal to the client: the entire workflow is to be represented transparently. Manuel Wymann, user experience expert at xappido ag, sets out the task more precisely: “Designing an attractive interface and shaping intuitive operation are essential if a web portal is to be accepted — by customers and by staff alike. We are pleased that this matters to the client as well.” In regular operation, the plan is that no more than five per cent of applications and orders should still need additional help from customer service.

As an up-and-coming software company from Sursee, xappido ag has made a name for itself in recent years as a specialist in digitalising business processes. Customer and web portals in the B2B and B2C sectors and mobile applications are part of the portfolio as well.
