What does HERMES have to do with our projects?

Good project work keeps evolving, and so do we. That is why our project managers took a close look at the HERMES project management method in an internal training course.

Structure for complex projects

HERMES is a project management method used above all in the public sector. It structures projects into clearly defined phases and, with fixed roles, tasks and results, creates a common framework for everyone involved.

In digitalisation and software projects in particular, where different departments, organisations and stakeholders are involved, a shared structure like this can make all the difference.

Relevant to our day-to-day work

At xappido, we regularly build digital solutions for public administrations and organisations. That is why our project managers encounter HERMES not only in theory but also in real projects.

In an internal training course in our xappido arena with an external HERMES expert, they were able to deepen their existing knowledge, get to know the method in more detail and relate it to their own project work.

Learning that flows into projects

For us, further training does not mean collecting knowledge for the drawer. What matters is how much of it reaches our everyday work.

A shared understanding of methods and approaches makes collaboration easier, brings clarity to roles and processes and helps us move projects forward in a structured way together with our clients.

As the demands on digital solutions grow, so do the demands on the people who plan and build them. And that is exactly why we at xappido keep developing.

In black and white: xappido is certified to ISO/IEC 27001

A certificate alone does not make software secure. What counts is the work behind it: defined processes, clear responsibilities and careful handling of information. Since June 2026 that has been independently audited and confirmed at xappido.

Why we do not start software projects with code

Many software projects start with a concrete idea – an app, say, or a customer portal. But is that always the right solution? Why we deliberately start with a workshop – and why the right questions often matter more than the technology.
