Campus Sursee Design Sprint

What does a Design Sprint actually deliver? Campus Sursee tried it with us and knew after four days which next step was worth taking.

Four days, full concentration, measurable results: together with Campus Sursee we were able to tackle concrete challenges in a compact Design Sprint and develop user-centred solutions.

Four days, four stages

The xappido Design Sprint follows a fixed sequence. Each day has exactly one task, and no stage is skipped:

  • Day 1: understand the problem
  • Day 2: sketch solutions
  • Day 3: build a prototype
  • Day 4: test it with customers

Why the pace helps

In a structured process, the Design Sprint brings together creativity, team focus and direct application: ideas emerge, are turned into prototypes immediately and tested straight away by real users. What comes of it is not only innovation, but clarity about the next step.

The tight time frame is not a drawback — it is the trick of the whole thing. When you have four days, you do not discuss variants for weeks; you build them and have them judged.

What a sprint leaves behind

At the end there is no concept still waiting to be assessed, but a clickable prototype, feedback from real users and a recommendation on how to proceed. The Design Sprint shows how effective and purposeful innovation can be when people, methods and challenges are brought together at the right moment.

Many thanks to the team at Campus Sursee for the focused and constructive collaboration.

Why we do not start software projects with code

Many software projects start with a concrete idea – an app, say, or a customer portal. But is that always the right solution? Why we deliberately start with a workshop – and why the right questions often matter more than the technology.
