The starting point

Cross-border trading has become an important part of our economy. But rules, taxes and requirements differ from country to country – the environment in the financial industry is stormy and hard to keep track of. Client advice at financial institutions therefore involves laborious checks: for every investment product it has to be established whether it may be distributed in a given country and for a given client profile. Carried out by hand, these checks are error-prone and time-consuming.

The solution

Investment Navigator digitalises and automates these checks. Through the web portal, banks and wealth managers market their investment products internationally without breaching the applicable regulations. The platform supplies key country-specific information and ensures that compliance rules for cross-border business are fully digitalised – error-prone manual checks are no longer needed.

Specifically, the solution covers product distribution suitability checks for investment funds, ETFs and structured products. The suitability of more than 150,000 financial instruments can be established automatically for specific client profiles. The solution is widely established in the market: 1.5 million checks are carried out through Investment Navigator every month. The company was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Zurich.

Working together

As solution partner, xappido supports Investment Navigator in regular sprints in developing the existing platform further and delivers new features and applications – from evaluating technical solutions through development to operation. In addition, xappido Nova Core, the portal core, is integrated into the web portal and centralises the authentication flow.
